Driving Directions
From Meridian:
Take interstate 59 South and get off at exit 80 (the Moselle exit) turn right, and follow the Okatoma Outdoor Post signs.
From Jackson:
Take Hwy 49 south- do NOT turn at Seminary, instead go 5 miles past Seminary. Look For this sign.
Turn left on Hwy 598 East. Drive 3 miles and turn right at the Okatoma Outdoor Post sign.
From Hattiesburg:
Go 8 miles North from Hwy 49/59 intersection. Go across the Bouie River Bridge. Take the 2nd right, look for this sign. After sign drive 3 miles and we are on the left.
From New Orleans:
Take Interstate 59 from Slidell to Hattiesburg, take exit 67 B off of 59 go 8 miles north on Hwy 49.
Cross the Bouie River Bridge take the 2nd road to the right, look for this sign. After sign drive 3 miles and we are on the left.
Getting here
What are your hours, and when are you open?
Open 8 AM – 6 PM, March 1 – October 31. We are shut outside those dates — there is no winter season on this creek.

Are Sanford and Seminary the same place?
No, and it catches people out. We are located in South Central Mississippi near Sanford and Seminary, on the banks of the river at the Sanford bridge. The mailing address is 550 Walter Lott Road, Seminary, MS 39479. Both float trips put in at Seminary (MS HWY 590); The Upper Run takes out at Sanford (MS HWY 598).
Where do the float trips actually start?
Both of them begin at Seminary (MS HWY 590) — but you check in at the Post first and leave your car there. We offer complimentary transportation up river for a leisurely float back to your vehicle. The runs are described on the float trips page.
